In an interview with SPIEGEL ONLINE, the Amsterdam-based military historian Gabriel Kolko talks about the prospect of war with Iran and argues that many in the US military now view the White House as being ‘out of control.’

SPIEGEL ONLINE: Mr. Kolko, editorials in US papers like the Wall Street Journal, the Weekly Standard and the National Review are pushing for military action against Iran. How does the leadership in the US military view such a conflict?

Gabriel Kolko: The American military is stretched to the limit. They are losing both wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Everything is being sacrificed for these wars: money, equipment in Asia, American military power globally, etc. Where and how can they fight yet another? The Pentagon is short of money for procurement, and that is what so many people in the military bureaucracy live for. The situation will be far worse in the event of a war with Iran.

Many in the American military have learned the fundamental dilemma of modern warfare: More money and better weapons don’t mean that you win. IEDs, which cost so little to make, are defeating a military which spends billions of dollars per month. IEDS are so adaptable that each new strategy developed by the United States to counter them is answered by the Iraqi insurgents. The Israelis were also never quite able to counter IEDs. One report quotes an Israeli military engineer who said the Israeli answer to IEDs was frequently the use of armored bulldozers to effectively rip away the top 18 inches of pavement and earth where explosive devices might be hidden. This is fantastic, as the cost of winning means destroying roads, which form the basis of a modern economy.

SPIEGEL ONLINE: Are people in the Pentagon getting nervous about how influential voices in the White House continue to push for conflict with Iran?

Kolko: Many in the US military think Bush and Cheney are out of control. They are rebelling against Bush and Cheney. Washington Post reporter Dana Priest recently said in an interview that she believed the US military would revolt and refuse to fly missions against Iran if the White House issued such orders.

CENTCOM [US Central Command, the military grouping whose responsibilities include the Middle East] commander Admiral William Fallon reportedly thwarted Cheney’s wish to sent a third additional aircraft carrier to the Persian Gulf. One paper wrote that he “vowed privately there would be no war against Iran as long as he was chief of CENTCOM.”

Lt. Gen. Bruce Wright, in charge of US forces in Japan, told the Associated Press last week that the Iraq war had weakened American forces in the face of any potential conflict with China. He was quoted as saying, “Are we in trouble? It depends on the scenario. But you have to be concerned about the small number of our forces and the age of our forces.”

SPIEGEL ONLINE: Do you think that conflict with Iran is likely?

Kolko: All the significant economic journals (Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, etc.) recognize that the American and European economies are now in a crisis, and it may be protracted. The dollar is falling; Gulf States and others may abandon it (as an investment currency). A war with Iran would produce economic chaos because oil would be scarce. There are states which the United States wishes to isolate, like Russia and Venezuela, who can develop great influence through their ability to sell oil in such a crisis. The balance of world economic power is involved, and that is a great issue.

SPIEGEL ONLINE: But aren’t the Gulf States interested in seeing Iran weakened through a conflict with the United States?

Kolko: The Gulf States do not like Shia Iran, but they export oil, which makes them rich. They are dependent on peace, not war.

President Bush planned to talk to reporters Wednesday about domestic issues. Instead, he spent the news conference mostly on foreign affairs, including his blunt assessment that a nuclear-armed Iran could lead to “World War III.”

“I’ve told people that if you’re interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested in preventing” the Iranians from gaining the means to make nuclear weapons, he said.

Bush, who delivered a sanguine assessment of Russian President Vladimir Putin shortly after taking office, presented a different view of his Kremlin counterpart Wednesday.

“He was wily. He wouldn’t tip his hand,” Bush said of his most recent encounter with Putin.

The president was referring to Putin’s refusal during their meeting in September in Australia to reveal the contenders to succeed Putin. The Russian president’s second term ends next spring.

Bush’s comments reflected the cooling that has marked U.S.-Russian relations.

The two countries have diverged over U.S. concerns about the Kremlin’s commitment to democracy and over foreign-policy differences, notably toward Iran.

Suggesting he was not optimistic about Russia’s political course, Bush said: “In terms of whether or not it’s possible to reprogram the kind of basic Russian DNA, which is a centralized authority, that’s hard to do.”

But he said he and Putin, who visited Tehran, Iran’s capital, this week, continue to agree that “it’s not in the world’s interest for Iran to have the capacity to make a nuclear weapon.”

“We got a leader in Iran who has announced that he wants to destroy Israel,” Bush said of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. ***(see below)

In Tehran on Tuesday, Putin defended Iran’s right to develop a civilian nuclear-power program, a statement that contrasted with the Bush administration’s expectation that he would take a harder line toward Ahmadinejad’s uranium-enrichment ambitions.

For the second consecutive news conference, Bush was adamant in his refusal to discuss what has been reported as an Israeli air attack on a site in Syria in early September.

Sarkozy an Ex-Mossad Agent!?

TEHRAN, Oct. 17–A prestigious French daily reported that an email sent to 100 high-ranking police officials claims French President Nicholas Sarkozy is a former agent of the Israeli intelligence services, Mossad.

Le Figaro added that the letter was sent to French police officials late last winter and reiterated that Sarkozy was the fourth high-ranking spy of Israel.

The letter titled “Infiltration of Mossad in France’s ruling center-right UMP party“ insists that Sarkozy is a spy.

It also writes about widespread corruption in the UMP party.

The letter added that former Israeli prime minister, Menachem Begin, in 1978 ordered the head of his intelligence services to make former French Leader Charles De Gulle’s one of Israel’s associates.

What does “World Government” mean?

A bonanza? One language? One economy? One sex? Same clothes, same culture, same thoughts? Everyone marching to the beat of the same drum?

But isn’t variety the source of life? Isn’t uniformity contrary to nature?

So what is it really about?

It’s about money, about greed, and about power.

The idea is not new. Throughout recorded history conquerors have flashed across the scene sword in hand and held dominion over the known world of their time. Sometimes the empires they created died with them. Sometimes they lingered on.

The aim is still the same, but the means of attaining it has changed. If there ever has been a moment to question what is happening in the world, and to the world, it is at this moment.

The freedom of the Press, once a guarantee of a healthy society, no longer exists. Nor does its honesty.

The control of the media and economy world-wide has slipped into the hands of a few conglomerates, who dictate policy, advocate inroads into the central structure of society, the family unit, and attack any belief that holds a people, a race, together in a unity of culture and tradition. Like some parasitical growth they work from within.

America is now virtually a one-party state, controlled by a small group that stands in the shadows pulling the strings, manoeuvring Presidents as the occasion demands, A group driven by one thing only, the desire for money and power.

For two hundred years warnings have been issued that such a situation could come about.

To quote Thomas Jefferson:

“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks …will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered…”

To quote Abraham Lincoln:

“The Government should create, issue and circulate all the currency and credits… By the adoption of these principles, the taxpayers will be saved immense sums of interest. Money will cease to be master and become the servant of humanity.”

These words and his monetary policies after the civil war probably cost him his life.

The Holocaust consists of three basic elements: (1) Approximately six million Jews were deliberately killed. (2) These killings were part of a state sponsored program on the part of the Third Reich whose ultimate goal was the total eradication of the Jewish people. (3) The bulk of these murders took place in special death camps where the principal mechanism of execution was the homicidal gas chamber that utilized Zyclon B, a commercial pesticide whose active ingredient was hydrogen cyanide.

That the Third Reich possessed the technological and administrative means to carry out such a vast amount of killing there is little doubt. The Soviet Union with significantly inferior assets in these areas was able to kill far greater numbers of human beings. Furthermore, the armies of the Third Reich succeeded in killing at least ten million of its heavily armed military opponents in the course of World War II. Hence the killing of six million unarmed civilians should not have presented any unique problems to such an industrially advanced and bureaucratically efficient state as Nazi Germany, on the contrary, it would have been far easier.

My doubts about the Holocaust are not centered on whether it could have happened but whether it did happen. In fact many of the doubts that I have are a direct consequence of the fact that I have no doubt that it actually could have happened…but certainly not in the ways that have been described thus far in the ”official” literature.

It is part of the Western tradition in legal, scientific and intellectual matters that those asserting something have the burden of proof and that those who disagree are not required to provide evidence. This tradition however has been turned on its head regarding the Holocaust since the ”historical truth” of the Holocaust has been posited in advance. Furthermore, even to express doubts can result in criminal penalties in at least 11 so-called democratic countries and the ruining of lives and careers in numerous others.

Listed below are some of the ”problems ” I have with the Holocaust. Should these be cleared up it would go a long way toward my accepting it …they are in no particular order.

Finally the Imperial Senate calls for Iraq’s partition.

US lawmakers voted Wednesday to split Iraq into a loose federation of sectarian-based regions and urged President George W Bush to press Iraqi leaders to agree.

The proposal came from Senator Joseph Biden, the smart-ass who heads the chamber’s foreign relations committee and is running for the 2008 Democratic Party presidential nomination.

A few months ago, Sen. Biden, interviewed by Shalom TV, an American mainstream Jewish cable television network, called Israel “the single greatest strength America has in the Middle East”. “I am a Zionist,” stated Senator Biden. “You don’t have to be a Jew to be a Zionist.”

We know the Israel Lobby is not a very convincing thesis, at least for Noam Chomsky. So, let’s talk about coincidences.

In 1982, Israel Shahak, a professor at Hebrew University in Jerusalem and chairman of the Israeli League for Human and Civil Rights, wrote:

The idea that all the Arab states should be broken down, by Israel, into small units, occurs again and again in Israeli strategic thinking. For example, Ze’ev Schiff, the military correspondent of Ha’aretz (and probably the most knowledgeable in Israel, on this topic) writes about the “best” that can happen for Israeli interests in Iraq: “The dissolution of Iraq into a Shi’ite state, a Sunni state and the separation of the Kurdish part” (Ha’aretz 6/2/1982). Actually, this aspect of the plan is very old.

THE HILARIOUS AUSCHWITZ STORY.

On January 17, 1945, when the Germans evacuated Auschwitz, 67,012 prisoners remained (plus another, thousand or so, in the camp hospital (there is a 217-page report, written by the Jewish Auschwitz physicians Lebovits, Weil, Reich and Bloch, that records the names, nearly all of them Jews, of those in the Auschwitz hospital at the time of the Soviet liberation)).

Now instead of killing all 67,012, plus, prisoners, the Germans left about 7,650 prisoners at Auschwitz to be liberated by the Soviets, and marched the rest to other concentration camps.

The great majority of these people survived, becoming “holocaust survivors.”

Amazing isn’t it,… that the evil Nazis who had been “mass-killing millions of Jews” didn’t bother to finish off this last bunch.

Don’t you think that this is a rather strange thing for the Nazis to do, leaving some 70,000 witnesses to “genocide”.

Even stranger, is that the Jewish prisoner, Elie Wiesel states in his book “Night” that when the Germans evacuated Auschwitz, he was given the option of staying at the hospital, with his father registered as a patient, to await the Soviets, or join the evacuation with the “mass-murdering” Nazis.

Guess what? He chose to leave with the “mass-murdering” Nazis, taking his father with him.

Isn’t it funny,… that the Jew Elie Wiesel (whose book describes horrendous Nazi “mass-killings” of Jews at Auschwitz) should choose to go with the very same Nazis that had been “mass-killing” Jews, rather than wait for the Soviets.

“The choice was in our hands. For once we could decide our fate for ourselves. We could both stay in the hospital, where I could, thanks to my doctor, get him (his father) entered as a patient or nurse. Or else we could follow the others. ‘Well, what shall we do, father?’ He was silent. ‘Let’s be evacuated with the others,’ I told him.”

Another strange thing about Elie Wiesel’s account of life at Auschwitz is that he never, not even once, mentions gas chambers.

In his version of the fiction, the Jews were burnt alive in huge pits, with the fat from the bodies scooped up to make soap.

Now, since human bodies don’t burn, we know that this is a lie, unless you believe that the Germans carved down all the forests of Poland to provide wood for the fires that roasted the 4 million (errrr,… that’s right it is now 1.5 million).

And even then there is the little problem regarding fires in pits,… they tend to go out due to a lack of oxygen,… but why let a few facts get in the way of a good story.

There is another account of happenings at Auschwitz on January 17th, 1945, from the book “Survival in Auschwitz,” by Primo Levi.

Primo Levi said “It was not a question of reasoning: I would probably also have followed the instinct of the flock (the evacuees) if I had not felt so weak: fear (of the unknown/Russians?) is supremely contagious, and its immediate reaction is to make one try to run away (WITH the evacuees and the “mass murdering” Nazis).” Comment in parenthesis added.

So Primo Levi was also given the choice of staying or leaving. His “weakness” caused him to await the Soviets, even though he was fearful of the outcome.

Levi states that 800 others choose to remain in Auschwitz, and 20,000 choose to go (with the “mass-murdering Nazis”).

His numbers do not quite add up, but clearly, as a prisoner he could only roughly estimate these, and he would only know about numbers in his particular camp (among the many at Auschwitz).

Otto Frank, the father of Anne Frank, was being treated for typhus in the camp hospital at this time. He too, has stated that prisoners were given the choice of whether to stay in the camp, or join the evacuation. Otto was too sick to leave.

Jew Math (A Quick Proof that the Holocaust Story is a Lie).

The HolyCo$t fable has a few math problems:

1948 (till 1990) Version of the fable:

Total number of Jews supposedly killed by the Nazis = 6,000,000

Total number supposedly killed at Auschwitz = 4,000,000
Number of Jews supposedly killed at Auschwitz = 3,000,000
Number of Jews supposedly killed outside of Auschwitz = 6,000,000 – 3,000,000 = 3,000,000

1990 (till present) Version of the fable:

Total number of Jews supposedly killed by the Nazis = 6,000,000

Total number supposedly killed at Auschwitz = 1,500,000
Number of Jews supposedly killed at Auschwitz = 1,000,000
Number of Jews supposedly killed outside of Auschwitz = 6,000,000 – 1,000,000 = 5,000,000

The problem is damn clear:

From 1948, till 1990, Jews claimed that 3,000,000 Jews were killed outside of Auschwitz.
Since 1990, Jews have claimed that 5,000,000 Jews were killed outside of Auschwitz.

Have Jews presented any evidence at all of the extra 2,000,000 “killings” outside of Auschwitz? Of course not.

This is a result of their reducing the number of Jews “killed” at Auschwitz by 2 million, while refusing to reduce the overall total of 6,000,000 claimed Jew deaths.

Again, do Jews have any documentation at all, for these extra 2 million “murders” outside of Auschwitz? Or did they just make up the number, like they clearly made up the pre-1990, 4 million “murders” at Auschwitz, figure.

So are Jews NUTS, or just NOT very good at math.

These plaques are currently on display at Auschwitz (English and German). Note the dramatically reduced number of victims, now only 1.5 million (anderthalb millionen in German).

A casual reduction in the number of deaths by some 2.5 million.

Deaths at Auschwitz drop by a whopping 2.5 million, but 6,000,000 dead Jews, remains the same.

Since, everyone believed the FALSE “4 million died at Auschwitz” fable anyway, why did the Jews change the story in 1990?

In 1989, the Soviets released (some of) the German documentation, death certificates, roll-calls, cremation lists, etc, that they had found at Auschwitz, in January 1945. The Germans had simply left this documentation when they evacuated. The Soviets, came across it and conveniently “lost it” in their archives for some 45 years. In 1989, Gorbachev presented it to the Red Cross who then “lost it” in archives in Arolsen, Germany.

Although, the Jews have made sure the public is not allowed to see the documentation, its broad outline became known to enough people, so that the old lies were no longer sustainable, hence the change of fable in 1990.

I can’t help but wonder, just what percentage of Whites, (8-10% of world population) has this jewish led war against the Arab/Muslim world obliterated? And not just from the US, but from all the nations ruled by international jewry that sent troops to fight in these wars? Iran’s president causes howls of derision in the US

Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is in New York for the General Assembly of the United Nations. His visit is causing a lot of controversy. On Monday evening he made a speech and answered questions at Columbia University, one of the most prestigious universities in the United States. Those in charge at the university have come in for a lot of criticism for their invitation to the Iranian leader.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is not popular in the United States. Outside the heavily guarded gates of Columbia University, one demonstrator reads off a long list of accusations against the President of Iran:

“Denying the Holocaust, having a Holocaust cartoon contest, repressing the Bahai’s, repressing journalists, repressing non-Shiite Islamic people, repressing women, repressing gays, having show trials….”

Argument

The man gets into an argument with another demonstrator attracted to this media event crawling with journalists from all over the world. This one defends Ahmadinejad’s right to speak:

“I would like to hear what he has to say, because in the United States we also get a lot of propaganda. So it’s always best to hear someone speak firsthand, then you can challenge them”.

Andrew Martin is senior at Columbia. He stands in a long line of people holding tickets to Ahmadinejad’s controversial appearance. He, too, wants to hear the Iranian president for himself:

“I’d like to ask him about homosexuality in Iran; whether he believes what he believes about it and whether he believes it should be debated freely in his country.”

Harshly critical introduction

The president of Columbia University, Lee Bollinger, introduced the President of Iran with harshly critical words. Bollinger characterized Ahmadinejad as a “petty, cruel dictator”, and he had nothing but contempt for statements with which Ahmadinejad has cast doubt on the murder of six million Jews in the Second World War:

“When you come to a place like this, this makes you quite simply ridiculous. You are either brazenly provocative or astonishingly uneducated.”

The Iranian president began hís speech, through an interpreter, by saying that in his country guests are received with respect, not insults. He more or less denied denying the holocaust. He explained his hostility towards Israel – which he calls the Zionist Entity – as a result of his concern for the Palestinians. And he did get the chance to answer Andrew Martin’s question about gays in Iran:

“In Iran we don’t have homosexuality like in your country.”

The audience reacted to that comment with howls of derision. Nevertheless, the Iranian president draws so much publicity that he has already managed to overshadow the other events being held this week involving many other heads of state and government leaders who are also in New York for the UN General Assembly.
