Bondsman accused of defrauding client

Willie Reed, 31, was arrested by Louisiana State Police and also had his bondsman’s license revoked.

Investigators said Reed was hired by another bondsman in 2007 and given $1,200 to bring a fugitive in.

Reed not only didn’t apprehend the fugitive, State Police said, but told him how to evade the bondsman who was looking for him.

Reed also didn’t disclose his own criminal record and is said to have obtained his bail-bond license fraudulently, State Police and Department of Insurance investigators said.

WAVY.com has an exclusive story about a parent attacking a school bus driver.

Portsmouth Police say Jennifer Williams, 32, climbed on bus #166 Thursday morning and started punching the driver in the face and head while she was still secured in her seat.

The bus driver, Angie Miller, was picking up elementary school students at the stop near Towne Point Road and Pine Bark Road on her way to Churchland Academy.

Police say Williams walked on the bus, yelled at the driver, beat her, then turned around and left.

Other bus drivers heard Miller get on the radio and call for help.

“She was screaming for help and she was crying. She was yelling, ‘Please help me! Please help me! A woman came up here and beat me up’,” said a fellow bus driver who wanted to remain anonymous for fear of being fired.

“Quite a few bus drivers quickly responded, ‘I’m on the way! I’m on the way’,” said another unidentified bus driver.

It all happened right in front of the elementary school students on the bus.

“I got there and calmed her down and calmed the students down,” said one of the bus drivers who responded to the scene.

Sources tell WAVY.com, Williams’ 8-year-old daughter had been written up for bad behavior Wednesday.

Police have charged Williams with Simple Assault and Battery as well as Disorderly Conduct.

Paramedics treated Miller at the scene and then she went to a doctor. She’s bruised, but is expected to be fine.

Just about every school bus driver you talk to says that what they put up with on a daily basis is almost unbelievable.

“Parents curse us out, scream at us and even threaten to beat us up,” said one bus driver.

“Many of the kids curse and scream and fight. I had a big fight on my bus just yesterday,” said another bus driver.

“And when you’re a bus driver you’re by yourself out there. All you have is your radio and people can’t get to you fast enough,” said one bus driver.

“We’re told we’re never to touch a student, even if they are physically assaulting us,” said a bus driver.

Portsmouth has cameras on school buses, but it’s not clear yet if this incident was caught on tape.

A Portsmouth judge denied bond for 22-year-old Kimberly Gardner, a day after police charged her with abducting a newborn girl.

She’s due back in court January 9th.

Police say Gardner took her friend’s five week old baby, Matashia L’Faith Holder-Ricks, to go shopping Wednesday and never returned.

State Police issued an AMBER alert for little Matashia Holder-Ricks. Less than an hour later, the baby was found safe at Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital, and Kimberly Nicole Gardner, was arrested.

We’re being told an x-ray technician at the hospital recognized Gardner from her picture issued with the Amber Alert.

Hampton Police detectives arrested a suspect Tuesday in a shooting death outside a city nightclub. Martin Jay Manley, 20, of Newport News is charged with 1 count of murder and 1 count of using a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to a news release from the department.

Manley is charged with killing Tony Vaughan, 29 of Newport News outside the Atmosphere Nightclub on Christmas Eve. Vaughan’s family told WAVY.com it will be tough for Vaughan’s children to forget their father was killed the day before Christmas.

Manley is being held at the Hampton City Jail without bond.

One Nig Jewelry Store Shooter Jailed, 3 Nigs Still Loose

A man accused of holding up a jewelry store and trying to kill a Seminole County deputy was put behind bars, but three other men have not been caught.

Deputies said four men robbed the store in the Altamonte Springs Tuesday.

Three got away, but a fourth man, Joshua Bouie, was left behind.

Deputies said Bouie tried to carjack a car with two kids in the back seat, and then shot at a deputy.

Bouie missed. The deputy returned fire, hitting Bouie in the foot.

Bouie was moved from the hospital to the Seminole County Jail Friday were he is held without bond.

Anyone with information about the three men who got away is asked to call Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS.

Three Ape-Men Arrested In Series Of Home Invasions

Three men believed to be responsible for a deadly home invasion are under arrest after a late night shootout with deputies.

News 13 first reported on a deadly home invasion in Titusville Friday morning.

Police said an anonymous tip from the public led them to a home invasion in-progress

Sunday night near the corner of Corriente Street and South Courtenay Parkway, resulting in the arrest of three dangerous men.

“We received a tip from an anonymous source, a concerned citizen, that there might be a home invasion occurring here in Merritt Island at a certain address. Fortunately, the information we got was good and we arrested three individuals,” said Agent Craig Carson, of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s deputies teamed up with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Titusville police for the arrests. Deputies said the suspects fired on them before being arrested. Nobody was hurt. Two guns were recovered.

“We suspect that these are the group of individuals that have been doing multiple home invasions throughout Central Florida, including homicides — stealing drugs, stealing money,” Carson said.

Before Sunday night, the last home invasion happened in Titusville. Marlene Castanon was pistol-whipped and her husband, Tim Bolduc, was killed. Castanon said Friday morning that she wanted nothing more than for her husband’s killers to be caught.

Deputies said the suspects in Sunday’s case are suspects in Friday’s home invasion.

2 Arrested in Robbery of Elderly Woman

The victim was walking to her vehicle in the parking lot of Village Square. As the 67-year-old victim was entering her vehicle she was sprayed in the face with mace.

The victim and the suspect then struggled over her purse. The suspect was able to get control of the purse and fled. During the investigation the victim was notifying her credit card companies of the robbery and discovered activity on one of the stolen credit cards.

Officers responded to the store where the card was used. During the investigation officers and investigators were able to identify two suspects.

The two suspects were located and arrested without incident and victim’s property was recovered.

A man died Sunday morning from injuries sustained when he was shot at a Zebulon home.

Antony Devon Judd, 19, of Wilson, was shot Saturday night at 3029 Rosenburg Road. He was transported by ambulance to WakeMed where he later died.

Warren Charles Clifford, 45, who lived at the home, was taken into custody, Wake County Sheriff Donnie Harrison said.

According to Harrison, the shooting appeared to be a domestic dispute, because the two men apparently knew each other.

Clifford was charged with Judd’s murder and was being held without bond.

Police are searching for a man whose wife was shot outside a Dunn hospital Saturday night. An Amber Alert issued for two of their children was canceled Sunday morning.

Azucena D. Diaz, 28, of Autryville, was shot in the head and chest in the employee parking lot of Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital at about 8 p.m., according to Dunn police.

Diaz is an employee at the 800 Tilghman Dr. hospital. She was treated in the emergency room and later airlifted to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill where she was listed in critical condition.

Diaz’s estranged husband, Joaquin Rangel Ramirez, 31, is wanted in connection with the shooting, police said. Ramirez is described as a Hispanic man, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

At the time of the shooting, he was wearing a blue and yellow jacket, police said. Ramirez left the scene in a vehicle believed to be a white pearl 2002 Cadillac Escalade with white rims, tinted windows and North Carolina license tag number VZT9795.

He is considered to be armed and dangerous. An Amber Alert was issued for two of the couple’s children, Maren Rangel and Briana Ramirez.

Officers responded to a call for service about a robbery in progress that came in at 1:15 a.m. November 4, 2007.

The caller indicated a group of Hispanic males were attempting to rob an individual in the parking lot of the apartment complex.

While driving through the parking lot, officers observed a black male near some apartments who immediately began running in the opposite direction when he saw the officers.

A witness reported hearing the officers giving verbal commands for the suspect to stop.

The officers pursued the suspect and one of the officers observed he had a gun in his hand.

One of the officers saw the suspect raise his hand and the officer fired his service weapon twice. A gun was recovered from the scene.

Good gosh, isn’t that beautiful? He raised his hand and an officer opened fired with his service revolver. Police have arrested a teenager they say is responsible for killing another teenager.

JaMorris Brandon Walker, 18, was arrested Tuesday for the murder of 18-year-old Zeric Harrison. Harrison was killed last weekend.

Walker was taken to Orlando police headquarters and being charged with first-degree murder.

Orlando police arrested a man who was spotted trying to steal from a city fire station early Wednesday.

A witness spotted a man inside the building on South Westmoreland Avenue at about 2 a.m. A police officer later found Larry G. Shingles, who matched the suspect’s description, in the area.

The officer had to chase Shingles down on foot to arrest him. He was taken to Orange County Jail, under charges of burglary and resisting arrest without violence.

Man Arrested after Setting Fire to Apartments

Early Saturday morning, Charlotte Fire Department responded to an apartment complex on West 26th Street after two fires were intentionally set. No residents were hurt in the fire.

Police arrested James Otis Gladden at the scene of the fire and charged him with fire degree arson, malicious use of explosive damage property and misuse of the 911 system.

His bail was set at $55,000.

A transient who robbed another man after asking him for a cigarette was arrested in front of the Central Florida Coalition for the Homeless shelter early Wednesday.

Orlando police said that Weston Jackson asked a 46-year-old man for the smoke in the 900 block of West Central Boulevard, but then snatched money from his hand and fled.

Police later found Jackson, 42, in front of the homeless shelter.

Jackson was taken to Orange County Jail, under one charge of robbery.

Orlando police, dispatched to a burglary at an occupied home, caught the thief walking down the street carrying his haul Tuesday night.

Officers were on their way to the reported crime at 621 W. South St. when they spotted a man toting a TV near Terry and Anderson streets.

Police arrested 50-year-old Johnny Howard on the spot.

He remained in Orange County Jail on Wednesday, on a charge of attempted burglary.

A 33-year-old North Hollywood man is accused of choking his girlfriend — who was four and a half months pregnant — because she disrespected him, then dumping her body in an alley behind a North Hollywood house, police said this morning.

Michael LaBrunda was booked into the Los Angeles County Jail on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of Alisha Johnson, 21, of Westminster, said Los Angeles Police Detective Rich Wheeler. “It’s tragic,” Wheeler said. “She didn’t deserve this. She’s 21. And like all 21-year-olds, she was starting her life out.”

LaBrunda told police that he choked her in his car after she disrespected him, Wheeler said. He was being held without bail in jail. Police expect to file two counts of murder for Johnson and her unborn baby within the next day. LaBrunda has a criminal history dating back seven years including misdemeanor battery against a spouse, corporal injury on a child, resisting arrest, assault and a felony carjacking, according to the Los Angeles County Superior Court public information office.

Parents Sue School Alleging Discrimination, Segregation

A lawsuit brewing in Montgomery County hearkens back to the dawn of the civil rights era.

Concerned black parents are suing Lower Merion School District, alleging segregation and discrimination.

Some parents are concerned because 36 percent of black students scored below grade in the 11th grade, compared to 8 percent of white students. The Lower Merion School District said they are also concerned.

“Why is it that the (black) kids aren’t able to catch up, even get to grade level,” Loraine Carter, president of Concerned Black Parents Of Lower Merion, said.

Carter said there is an achievement gap in the school district, one they claim falls along racial lines.

“There are too many African Americans in modified classes, very low number of students in honors or advance placement,” she said.

Six Lower Merion families joined Carter in a class action lawsuit against the school district in September, claiming their children didn’t receive a proper education because of their race, which was underscored by a recent report by the Pennsylvania Department of Education that found black students scored below grade level in comparison to white students in the district.

“We all want to see this gap closed,” Lower Merion School District Communication Director Douglas Young said.

Young said the achievement gap isn’t acceptable but it is not racially driven.

“The issue for us is the achievement of all students be them white, black or Asian,” Young said.

Young said they’ve eliminated modified classes, which were supposed to help students struggling to meet state required learning levels and instead are trying an individual approach with students.

“We work with our staff on differentiated instruction, which is working with each kid based on their needs to identify a program that’s going to help that student succeed,” he said.

Young said there’s more work to be done and they’re spending the money to hire the teachers and create programs that will narrow the gap, which will take time, but Carter said the students need help now.

“For every year that a child underachieves, it really sets their life up so that there is failure,” Carter said.

“The issue is the achievement of the student not the race of the student,” Young said.

Five weeks after it was raided by more than 200 police officers and four weeks after it was placed in the hands of a bankruptcy trustee, the headquarters of the troubled Your Black Muslim Bakery is for sale.

Feleciai Favroth of Next Level Real Estate in Oakland said that she placed the property on the market Thursday for $899,000 and will show it to a prospective buyer Friday.

Favroth said the property is an L-shaped lot of nearly 14,000 square feet and is the site of the bakery building at 5838 San Pablo Ave. and a residential duplex at 1083 59th St.

The bakery was founded by Yusuf Bey in 1968 but it fell on hard times after his death in 2003.

Two of his successors were murdered and a third successor, his son Yusuf Bey IV, 21, faces serious criminal charges in numerous cases throughout the Bay Area.

Bakery handyman Devaughndre Broussard is charged with murdering Oakland Post Editor Chauncey Bailey in broad daylight in downtown Oakland on Aug. 2.

Oakland police said Broussard told them that he shot Bailey multiple times because he was upset that Bailey was working on an article about the bakery’s financial problems.

On Aug. 3, the day after Bailey was killed, police raided the bakery, arrested Broussard on murder charges and arrested Yusuf Bey IV and two other associates on charges that they kidnapped and tortured two women in Oakland on May 17.

Authorities also closed the bakery at that time because of health and safety violations.

On Aug. 9, U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Edward Jellen denied a request by the bakery to reconsider his previous order that it liquidate its assets to satisfy its creditors, even though the bakery received letters of support from several prominent politicians, including Oakland Mayor Ron Dellums and Congresswoman Barbara Lee, D-Oakland.

The bakery owes $200,000 to the Internal Revenue Service and $700,000 to its mortgage holder.

Thursday night, Mayor Herenton defended the slogan. He said for him, it’s not about a rap song. He claims he’s never heard the song. For him it’s about something else.

“When people are stabbing you in the back when they don’t give you credit for good works they’re envious of you they’re jealous of you, what you do is you continue to shake them off and do the good,” Herenton said.

The mayor wanted to make it clear his real campaign slogan is not “Shake the Haters Off,” it is “Moving Memphis Forward.”

Herenton’s campaign headquarters has no more t-shirts with that slogan on it.

A Mid-South city council member is under fire for testifying on behalf of a convicted sex offender.

Convicted sex offender Jerry Johnson is headed back to prison after pleading guilty to violating the state of Arkansas’s sex offender registry.

West Memphis city council member Lorraine Robinson testified on his behalf at a hearing earlier this week.

“I really don’t understand her motives for that how they can criticize Erik Sammis and me for supporting an officer that has been convicted of nothing and then he can go and testify for a registered sex offender that brutally raped a 13 year old girl,” says West Memphis Police Chief Bob Paudert.

Paudert is referring to Erik Sammis, the officer who shot a 13-year old West Memphis boy he thought had a gun that turned out to be a toy.

Sammis has not been convicted in the case.

“I believe its a set up. I believe there are those who are inciting negativism toward me. Any time I do something or try to help someone I will be spotlighted because of the DeAunta Farrow death and all that we’ve said about that,” says Robinson.

Robinson has been very critical of Sammis saying she hopes he is found guilty in the shooting of Deaunta Farrow. She has also criticized the West Memphis Police Department.

West Memphis police have documents that show Jerry Johnson, a Level 3 sex offender, claimed he lived in an area that was 2000 feet from a school or day care.

But West Memphis police discovered he was living in a restricted area and lied about it on forms he signed.

Lorraine Robinson says Johnson severed 10 years behind bars and is trying to get his life in order and should not have been arrested.

Robinson says she felt Johnson should have been allowed to move. She also says it is not clear he was living in a restricted area.

West Memphis police say they have no doubt he was. Johnson was sentenced to 60 months behind bars.

They say annexation and other factors are putting them in an impossible position to deliver services their students deserve.

Memphis City Schools Chief Operations Officer Michael Goar says the areas of utmost concern are in Cordova, Southwind-Windyke, Countrywood and Berryhill.

The Shelby County Commission has power over capital improvement funds.

They currently earmark $42 million dollars for new construction, expansions and renovations of city schools. They want the commission to triple that.

Some commissioners say the school system is asking for too much money with a recent report anticipating an enrollment decline.

But, Goar says 3700 new students are set to enroll in the next couple of years and they need to build at least two new schools right away.

“This is really a crisis, really, because I think it’s an impossible task for our board and our staff to really manage 42 million dollars to do all the things everybody asks us to do and I’m really sympathetic with parents and students,” says MCS Chief Operations Officer Michael Goar.

As the county school system seeks $172 million for similar improvements, they’re making the case to freeze future Memphis annexation.

The issue was delayed until the Needs Assessment committee meets September 28. We’ll let you know what happens.

Mentally ill and ripe for the rope ape-man works over his 4 week old baby

Ocean View Police Chief Kenneth McLaughlin said a Salisbury man wanted for abusing his 4-week-old baby son is behind bars.

McLaughlin said 34-year-old Wayman Nathaniel Witcher, aka, Wyman Witcher was arrested in Ocean View on Friday night at around 8:30.

Witcher was wanted for first-degree child abuse, first-degree assault and related charges. He is accused of giving the baby a skull fracture to the left side of the head.

Wicomico States Attorney Davis R. Ruark said his office received a report from the Wicomico Child Advocacy Center on Aug. 30 concerning a child who was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center twice in a one-week period. Ruark said the first incident of abuse may have occurred on Aug. 24.

The child is now in intensive care and Ruark said that with the child being so young, the injuries could be life-threatening.

McLaughlin said his department received a tip from Wicomico County that Witcher could be at an Ocean View home. He said officers found Witcher at the home and arrested him. He is being held without bond in the Sussex Correctional Institute.

Witcher is listed as a registered child sex offender in the state of Maryland.

Helen Harris is charged with abusing 9-1-1.

The police report indicates police went to her home early Monday morning after Harris called to say her roommate had woken her up. Police say Harris has been warned before about abusing 9-1-1. She’ll be in court Friday.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said this was a very organized cockfighting ring, and his department found out about the ring by a confidential informant.

All 17 people arrested were charged with third-degree felonies.

A businessman in downtown Orlando used a motion-detecting Web cam to watch and grab images of a thief inside his home stealing his wife’s bras and other items, according to police.

Investigators said Thomas Arline’s home was recently broken into at the Lake Live Oak subdivision in eastern Orange County.

During the crime, a Web security cam was activated by motion in the house and began to send images to Arline’s downtown office 20 miles away.

Arline said he was forced to watch as the thief grabbed a notebook computer, an X-box and other items.

However, Arline said the most disturbing part of the crime was when the culprit took his bed pillows and five of his wife’s bras.

“That goes beyond a little bit past creepy,” Arline said. “That goes past being a little bit weird. That goes to scary. Scary is what I call it.”

When deputies arrived after a 911 call from Arline, the teen was nowhere to be found.

The culprit is described as a Hispanic man between 15 and 18 years old. He weighs about 160 pounds and is around 5 feet 7 inches tall.

Detectives believe that the teen was familiar with the area.

“Those types of crimes where you go deep into a community tends to be somebody that lives on that street or close to that neighborhood so they can exit quickly and go inside their house without being detected,” Orange County sheriff’s Detective Michale McKenzie said.

Manuel Solorzano, 47, is wanted by police on charges of lewd and lascivious molestation and failing to register as a sex offender.

According to St. Cloud police, Solorzano had several children at his house, located at 3681 Daydream Place in St. Cloud, to play video games when he followed an 11-year-old girl into a bedroom and molested her.

Police said an investigation revealed that Solorzano is a registered sex offender from New Jersey. Solorzano failed to register as a sex offender with the state of Florida and also failed to advise New Jersey of his move to Florida, according to a St. Cloud police report.

St. Cloud police, who have not been able to contact Solorzano, obtained warrants for his arrest on Tuesday.

A 14-year-old girl from Mexico was smuggled into the United States and forced into prostitution by three illegal immigrants suspected of running a prostitution ring in North and South Carolina, according to court documents.

A federal detention hearing was held Tuesday for two men suspected of holding or transporting illegal immigrants for prostitution. The alleged ringleader, Guadalupe Reyes-Rivera, was being sought on similar charges, according to a sworn statement from Craig Hannah, a special agent with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Bail was denied for Jesus Perez-Laguna, but the local US attorney’s office refused to say where he was being held. A spokeswoman would not discuss any details about the case.

Ciro Bustos-Rosales, 35, was being held Wednesday at the Richland County Detention Center on charges of prostitution, pimping and soliciting, according to the jail’s website.

Perez-Laguna arranged for the 14-year-old to be smuggled into the country under the guise of getting restaurant work, according to Hannah’s statement. The girl was taken to Charlotte, NC, several locations in South Carolina, and later Columbia, where she was forced “to perform acts of prostitution and turn over the proceeds,” according to the statement.

A 19-year-old girl and 31-year-old woman also were involved in the prostitution ring, according to Hannah.

The South Carolina U.S. Attorney’s Office announced the indictment Tuesday of three Mexican nationals who they say were importing women from Mexico to South Carolina for prostitution.

According to the indictment, Jesus Perez-Laguna, Guadalupe “Mama Martina” Reyes-Rivera and Ciro Bustos-Rosales brought women into the state for use in a commercial sex operation, at least one as young as 14 years old.

Perez-Laguna, Reyes-Rivera and Bustos-Rosales also are accused of harboring illegal immigrants.

Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Wan J. Kim said, “Too often sex traffickers prey on young women who are brought into the United States illegally, thousands of miles from home, and unaware of the U.S. legal system or their rights to be free from this form of involuntary servitude.”

If convicted of sex trafficking and related crimes, Perez-Laguna, Reyes-Rivera and Bustos-Rosales face a sentence of up to life in prison and a combined fine of more than $1 million.

Since 2001, the Justice Department has charged more than 430 with human trafficking and secured convictions for 316 defendants.

Bottom line: The jew did rape and murder the White girl, the nigger did rape and murder the White woman, and both were given the appropriate punishment. Logic dictates that these people would have wanted to find the person and only the person who committed the crime. It wouldn’t have mattered if a White man had done it, they wanted the person who committed the act. And if it was a White man, he would have received the same punishment as either the nigger or the jew. Like stated above, Whites were in no way virgins to the rope, they were hung too, and in many cases for much lesser crimes.

Also, as stated above, really no one knows in exacting detail what actually took place. But based on the mere fact alone that they were executed is proof enough to me that they did indeed do as accused. It would seem shocking to most now, if White men would rise up in defense of their womenfolk, but back then, men were men. And of course the laws were different. But nonetheless, many years of jewish brainwashing has us where we are today. A nig raping and murdering a White female? Ho Hum. A drunken spic running down two of our daughters? Don’t be a racist. A jew raping and murdering a goy female? Who cares? The worst crime committed today is when a White even so much as mumbles the word . . . nigger, kike, spic or fag.

Israeli rabbis to shun Christian event

JERUSALEM – Israeli rabbinic authorities have abruptly called on Jews to shun a major Christian tourism event. And that’s baffling evangelical groups that traditionally have been big supporters of the Jewish state.

The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem says more than 6,000 Christians from over 90 nations are expected to arrive in Jerusalem this week to take part in the 28th annual Christian celebration of the Jewish holiday Sukkot.

But last week, the chief rabbinate urged Jews to stay away from the event. It claims some of the groups want to convert them to Christianity. But the head of the organizing group says it’s never conducted missionary
programs in Israel.
There’s been a growing alliance in recent years between right-wing Israeli groups and some evangelical Christians who believe Jews must return to the biblical Land of Israel to facilitate a Second Coming of Christ.

Sergio Torecilla attempted to kill his ho execution style but the first gun was not loaded

According to investigators, Torecilla then ordered the woman to get on her knees, then pulled the revolver’s trigger five times. But the gun was not loaded.

Deputies think Torecilla then forced the woman back inside the house, grabbed a 9mm handgun, forced the woman back out to the barn, and aimed at her.

Officers say a car then drove up, and distracted Torecilla as she shot. The shot missed the woman, and Torecilla ran off.

Bedford County investigators have issued the following warrant for Sergio Torecilla:

1. 1 count of Breaking and Entering with the Intent to commit Murder

2. 1 count of Abduction

3. 1 count of Attempted Murder

4. 1 count of Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony (Attempted Murder)

5. 2 counts of Larceny of a Firearm
