Expose Them All

Radio host JC Corcoran and KHITS 96 radio have a hefty list of new responsibilities.

Last month, Cocoran threatened to fire an AK-47 from the roof of Ameren and insulted an African American executive at the utility because Cocoran lost electricity during the Super Bowl.

As part of an agreement, Emmis Communications will provide:

- 2 paid internships at the radio station, for African American college students

- computers and printers for technology centers in 6 African American churches

- money for 20 African American students to attend cyber summer computer classes

- sponsor a youth program, operated by the NAACP

- support a program run by the urban league

- will look for diversity when filling its next vacancy on its national corporate board of directors.

Ameren UE President Tom Voss released a statement saying in part “We did not request any specific actions against JC Corcoran and always believed the community should decide his future.”

Corcoran will also be suspended for two more weeks, go through sensitivity training and must make an on-air apology on his first day back.
